May 7 at the Garage

Despite not having an actual one year anniversary party, Music Night on the one year anniversary of the Garage’s transformation from residential storage vessel to über-hip (yeah, sure) music listening room was a smashing success, albeit a shorter endeavor than usual.  Playlist below.  I eliminated the category of “format” as it seemed to provide little interest, and the vast majority of music is played from ipod and similar devices.  Some notable bits I learned while compiling the list:  The Cramps tune was originally by the Sonics, from 1965… I never knew the producer of the Cramps’ seminal Songs the Lord Taught Us ?  The one and only Alex Chilton…I was mistaken as to the year of Jimi’s death, was actually 1970…the Rose Tattoo album from 1978 was on the same label as 2009 record from the Answer…
